This privacy policy describes how Techno Group (“we” / “Techno Group”) deals with your and other visitors’ personal data, including why we collect information, what information we collect, and what we do (and do not do) with it. It also explains how you can change it.

How do we protect your personal information?

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. We also use regular malware scanning. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons, who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

What are cookies and how do we use them?

This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving you, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

South African Protection of Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”)

In brief, POPI aims:

To promote the protection of personal information processed by public and private bodies; to introduce certain conditions so as to establish minimum requirements for the processing of personal information; to provide for the establishment of an Information Regulator to exercise certain powers and to perform certain duties and functions in terms of this Act and the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000; to provide for the issuing of codes of conduct; to provide for the rights of persons regarding unsolicited electronic communications and automated decision making; to regulate the flow of personal information across the borders of the Republic; and to provide for matters connected therewith.

Your rights in respect of your personal information

In terms of POPIA and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to free access to, correction, blocking, deletion or restriction of the processing of your stored personal data at any time.
